    Constant Lockups.

Lately I've been getting constant lockup and restarts. So I reinstalled XP. With in 2 hours I had 3 more blue screens all with bad_pool_caller. (not the errors I was getting before) I turned on the driver verifier (a recomendation of another site) and it slowed my computer down to a crawl....and continued to lock up. After viewing info, I still had no idea. But every blue screen I had, pointed to a driver. The last things I installed were Divx 5.0.2 and VB6 Pro. So I uninstalled those, and will see if the problem goes away.

However...it's not looking good as explorer closed the first time I tried to post this. Before I reinstalled I had upgraded to SP1. I haven't yet on this fresh install. I also installed Win98 incase it drives me crazy....at least I won't have to reformat.

    Has anyone had similar problems?

Shortly after writing this, I got an error in win32k.sys.

I then uninstalled my digital camera (the last thing I installed)

And will continue to try and hope. But it's not looking good.

    this may give a clue

While it is not what you described, the error may have something to do with your video.
