[RESOLVED] Can I get my old Apple Image Writter II to work with my Dell

Is there anyway that I can possibly get my apple Image writer II to work with my dell. T\I have never came across anything to conver the pinouts on this printer but please tell me t is possible. thanks, peace out

Years ago when I did retail I had cables for this (never tested them to see if they really worked). Search some of the sites that sell just cables and switchboxes and stuff.

WHY???

when this was possible, it was gnarly. The printer that you want to use is beginning to lose replacement ribbons. The store I work at doesn't have the colors anymore.

The cost for such a conveter will probably be greater than trying to get a used inkjet that will work without problems.

I've helped this person through private mail. He has the proper cable and we found the necessary drivers and printer dip switch settings to make everything go. I haven't heard back if it's actually working so until he asks for more help, this thread appears to be done.

cool; the cable & dips were the tricky part, it was supposed to work OK.

My concern is that in the near term, he may have trouble finding replacement ink. Mail order for the near-term, I've also seen re-inkers.
