You have a lot of good suggestions here already, but if I was to set up an IT room/complex, I'd probably get a KVM switch to save on desk "real estate". My work area is rather small, so that would be a welcome addition for anyone in this situation too.

I'd choose a room that has the most amount of power outlets, is closest to a phone line connector, and is the furtherest away from your flat mates' bedrooms (if you have any). I like a room that is furtherest away from houshold traffic too. My comp. room is my sanctum. I'd like to add a good desklamp and some sort of CD player/radio to the list of things for the computer room.

    Cooling?

Well, this is my comp room/bedroom, not to bad for a 17yr old. It all runs through my suround system that you see Surround Sound System and here is my comp setup and whatnot, all has been bought by myself. Room Setup The only cooling in my P3 1.2 is a rear fan, my front fane sounds liek a jet when I turn it on. I am working on putting my arctic silver on, just got to get un-lazy and do it

    Any replys are thanked.

How do you like those jblNd3101111? I heave the JBL N38 II for my front speakers, N26 II for my Rears, and the NCenter for my Center Speaker. The only Speaker I dislike is the Center speaker. (its small compared to the rest of my speakers.)

Also Wecome to the Windrivers Forum.

Oh... If your thinking about building a desk don't get the great Idea to build a 40" desk and get a drafting Chair for the desk because after a while it get very unconfirmable.
