how do you ghost a 40gigs hd to a raid 0 striping array;i don`t want to make a clean install as i have no problems with the pc as it is now,just want to try out the raid 0to see how much faster it will be,clauded

never having done this, I'm not sure I'm right, but I'll take a shot.
I think if you get the RAID array set up in the raid bios and it gets all built and sees your array as drive C, you should, I think be able to power off, plug in your other drive to the regular IDE controllers, then boot with a ghost boot disk and clone. I think you'd probably have to do a partition dump, not a disk to disk clone.
seems reasonable. When I set up RAID mirror, I did as above and booted with win98 boot disk to FDSIK and format the raid array then install windows.
