Need help on updating BioStar M6TBA motherboard driver
I recently bought The Sony CD-RW Recorder, and I have a BioStar M6TBA motherboard and a Toshiba DVD ROM, which came with the system, running on Windows 98. The CMOS detects the Sony CD-RW, but when the system boots up to the desktop, There is no new drive being built. I think I might need to update my driver, but i don't know the exact file I need to download to update my driver. I tried calling my manufacturer, Inteva, for two days now, but I can't get through, it's like the company doesn't exist anymore. I would really appreciate it if you an assist me with on this problem. Aso, I think my driver is by Intel.

ok first thing to check is that on the back of one drv say the writer its set as master and on the othere one its set to slave.
also boot in to safe mode and remove all the cdrom drv's from ya devise manager so when the sys reboots back in to normal mode it reloads the drv's.
Make sure your using a udma 33 lead on the secondery channel and that ya got both drvs on that channel.
If ya still having problems pop in to the windrivers chat page.

I did set the Sony CD recorder to the secodary IDE port as the master, and the DVD on the primary IDE port as a slave, while the hard drive is the master. But I still can't get a new drive to be built for the Sony CD recorder. I think I need to update my driver so it can recognize the CD-RW but I don't know what to downlaod to update my driver for the M6TBA motherboard.

Yeah I check online to find out what chipset it is, and I think it's Intel Chipset 440BX, on a Biostar M6TBA motherboard, it is running on Windows 98, Date 4-10-1998. I had everything connected correctly, I put my DVD Drive as Slave on the primary IDE port, while the Hard drive is the master, and The Sony CD recorder as the master by itself on the secondary IDE port. The jumper is set as master, actually I tried it with on Master and cable select. Cmos and the system detects it, but there is just no drive being built for it. I also tried diabling the UDMA, but no luck too. Oh and I really appreciate it for you or anyone trying to help me out with this. Do I really need to update my driver or what should I do?
