    Id ing mobo

Dont know if anyone can help, I've used hwinfo and it can only tell me the chipset:
    UMC UM8881F

    On the board is written:
    UM880PAIO Rev 1.0

    The BIOS is phoenix A013216

Wim's bios page mentions some boards useing UMC chipsets with similar names as possibly being Mustek but this is followed by a question mark. Would this be the Mustek known for scanners? I can find no mention of mobo's on there site. Any ideas who uses that kind of ID?

    Try Amptron...

Need more info to do more than guess though...

What CPU does it take? What do the chips on the board have printed on them? Is there an FCC ID#? Who manufactured the original system?

Noonoo posted this link in another thread yesterday.

It should ID your MB correctly.

UMC UM8881F is an old chipset for 486 PCs, supporting EDO memory - too many manufacturers were using that chipset...
I used to have quite a few of them... it would be better, if you'll show the picture of that board...

Well thanks for help, as you may have guessed the mobo I'm trying to id is the same one with the duff battery. But no worries I've given up on it, well I think I dont need to know who made it now. I am going to tyr and find a replcment battery and just patch it up to run win95 and word 97, the chap who owns it is just going to give me a tenner for an p75 I was given ages ago. Yes by the way its running a 486 DX100Mhz cpu, Ruslan.
