    Exclamation pcmcia device controller

    Don't know what happened to the first message I posted, but here it is again. I'm want to reload, if possible, the pcmcia device in the control panel. I'm using Win NT 4.0. In the control panel, when I click on PC Card (pcmcia), I get the error message: "An error occurred while Windows was working with the Control Panel file C:winnt\system32\devapps.cpl". I wnated to correct this if possible without reloading NT.

    This mentions a usr modem being the culprit Its a word 97 doc file from compaq. Maybe throw some light on whats happening
