    Talking Dr. Watson

    Does anyone know any way to stop the famous Dr. Watson from appering with does Access Violation, and by the way what is an access violation.

    give us the exact error message: eg "Dr Watson reports and access violation in explorer at 0xc0000005" etc.


    what OS are you running. Does the Dr Watson show while using a specific app? Need details...

    Im running NT4 SP 6a

    The erros are:

    Dont remember tha app for this error
    Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address 0x03c2c76d

    Excel.exe
    Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address 0x30209c13

    Go into the Registry and goto HKEY_USERSuser key number hereSoftwareMicrosoftOffice9.0Excel . Click on Excel and then hit the delete key.

    Since this is an issue with the user's profile so you can just delete and recreate the profile and it should resolve your issue. Be sure to backup the user's important files (favorites, PST, etc)
