Today was a good day
I usually hate working on Saturdays it seems to be when we get all of the quacks in the store and we got the worst I've ever seen today. A guy came in and wanted an adapter for his lcd monitor to use on a different system so he could use the monitor to do a presentation on Monday, long story short the client flipped out that we didnt have anything to help him on hand, and started screaming and cursing at the top of his lungs on the sales floor causing a little girl to cry. I seriously have never seen anyone in public yelling profanities this loud and I have seen a lot of angry people. The manager told him that this was inapropriate behavior and that he would have to leave as someone else called the police. the client then made a lung at my managers throat and pushed him against a counter, the client then left and we took down his license plates, the police were there quick enough to attempt to pull him over in the parking lot but he wouldn't stop! He finally puller over a few blocks away and resisted arrest further, it was so much fun seeing him hogtied when we had to identify him to the police. The guy is screwed disturbing the peace, 5th degree assault, and resisting arrest. He was driving a brand new corvette which has been impouned and since it was used to commit a crime, evading the police, the police are going to try to forfeit it. The guy must really have some mental issues or something. I wonder what he's going to do about his presentation now? hehe

He probably though he was gonna lose his job because he didn't have the adapter - or the big contract - now he definitely will.
Glad that no one was hurt and that the police were on hand to help.

Man that's gotta be the worst case of in-store abuse I've ever heard. I've seen people yell profanities at the top of their voice but never the physical violence thing. I hope your manager and the kids who had to see that were OK. Good to hear they caught the guy.

Sounds like the a$$ deserved it. I would venture to guess he's not new at this kinda thing! Would be curious to see if he has much of a record!

The sickening thing is he could get out with probation or community service and he most likely would in the UK with a half decent solicitor and a tear-jerking cock and bull story. Thats what makes me mad, when *******s get away with this $hit...here's hoping he doesn't get off lightly!

I've had an HP laser printer heaved at me by a customer before now. It bounced off the reinforced glass behind me and broke into pieces on the floor.
When I used to work at PC World we had a way of calling for assistance in case this kind of thing ever happened. We were told to put a tannoy call out saying "Code 10 at < insert location here >" and all the staff who were available would come over and loom ominously. This was especially good because our head of security was 6'5" and weighed about 280lbs, tending to put customers off causing trouble.
Glad to hear that this a$$hole got what was coming to him though. Hope he rots.
