TV-Out problem on SIS 6326
I built a computer last night out of parts laying around the house, the video happens to be an Aopen PA50V. Which is a SIS 6326 chipset, 8MB AGP, TV-Out. I don't have an extra monitor for it, so I want to use the TV. All's well, except that the output to the TV is too big, and I can't see my whole desktop. I downloaded the latest drivers from aopen, v1.32. The drivers have support for changing the screen position on the tv out, but not screen size. Is there anything I can do to get this viewable on my tv? I've asked both aopen and sis, neither have been responsive.
PS it is WIN98SE.
Thanks Much!

Make sure that its detecting the TV correctly in display properties and that the resolution is at 640x480.

What can I expect for a $4 used untested card right? lol. I want 60hz @ 640x480 for NTSC correct? Thats what it defaults to. I just can't believe the guys over at sis would take the time to make a screen position routine in the drivers, but not a screen size. Argh, I need someone to whip up something in visual c++ thatll help use cheap people out :-)
Thanks for the responses!

If you really want tv out, I would check ebay for a decent ATI card, all in wonder pro or something... they seem to go pretty cheap these days...

Does it have a "Scan type" option, where you can choose "overscan" or "underscan"?
I had a Geforce card that would do the same if I chose the overscan option...and the image would be smaller than the screen if I set it to underscan. So maybe you could use something like the underscan option in this case.

It does have the option of underscan, and it helps *a little bit*, it only resizes it about 1/4 inch smaller, it doesn't really do the trick. And besides, it makes the tv emit a funny hum when it's on underscan. No option of overscan.
Oh well, I'll probably just sell this computer to a neighbor, get probably like $200 and use that towards a new HDD for my main machine :-)
Thanks,
