My Friend John wants to get a new printer
(He also is a Computer newbe) For myself
I have a Deskjet, & a Laserjet at home,
And an Officejet in my office. But I like
HP's.
He wants to make photo quality prints from

I'm more than happy with my HP Deskjet 840C one, Jim. The problem is, I think HP has stop it's production. I'm sure though, there is a substitude.

Tech-To-Tech Mod
a friend of mine got an HP inkjet that also accepts his digital camera memory cards for $199. For the life of me I can't remember the model number and my searching on bestbuy.com didn't turn up the model I'm thinking of.
HA! I found it on HP's site the model is hp photosmart p1000

If you've got a little time for browsing, go here to check out hp, the industry leader in printing solutions. Click on any of the links for further info, comparisons, etc.
While I personally prefer the LaserJets for their superior printouts, plus the fact they don't run if you get it wet like the InkJets/DeskJets...I understand that price might be an issue.
Let us know which one you end up going with and why...Good Luck!
