ICS - dependency or group failed to start
Hi.
I'm running WinXP (with SP1) with a cable connection. When I click on "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" and then hit OK I get the following message:
"An error occured while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. The dependency service or group failed to start."
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? How do I go about checking this? I've checked my running services and everything looks ok but there might be something I just can't see.
Plase let me know if u need any further info about my system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx!
Phoebus

I don't think I will personally be able to offer help for the fault but post as much info as you can anyway.
Most appropriate is information about your network settings Network cards and your cable connection.

Look in your event viewer for a more specific error, it should give you the name of the dependent service that failed to start or at least an error code number to look up.
