What setup have you got?
A nic?
Do you have a network already? Can you share files etc ok?

yes nic- cable box.
lan is disassembled at the mo, dad moved his comp and cable wont reach and i havent been bothered to make new cable/buy extension block. but mother is complaining about fone bill, and as he uses dialup and a lot i figured i could help reduce bill by sharing my broadband w/ him.
i have xp pro and hes on m/e
setting up the standard peer-peer network isnt a problem you dont need to tell me how to do that, its just the connection sharing i bneed a bit of help with, ta

My Stepdad has it. They have two systems and to register the MAC address of the second system to make it work.

Yeah.
They had to give NTL the MAC address of the network card in my brothers system.
