    JamStudio Graphic Tablet & WinXP

I've just purchased a JamStudio Graphic Tablet and I can't get the damn thing to work! I only managed to get Windows (XP, SP1) to recognize it as a Human Input Device and nothing more.

I've tried connecting it to the USB port and the PS/2 port. Nothing!

The company's websites (jamonline.com & kbgear.com) are down but I did manage to find some drivers which (supposedly) have support for WinXP. Still nothing...

    Any ideas?

    Thanx!

    JamStudio Graphic Tablet & WinXP

My jamstudio tablet stopped working when I upgraded from Windows 98 to XP Professional. I have tried installing the 2000/XP driver (I have a feeling it was meant only for 2000 but has been renamed by users) but still have a useless pad. I have tried three separate times -- twice, XP has had a fatal error and shut down as soon as I put my pen to the tablet surface. The other time, it worked for a few minutes but then again had the error.

I would love it if there actually were an XP driver. Please let me know if you find one!

I just bought a Jam tablet also and can't get it to work. I found out that KB Gear is out of business and that is why these tablets are so cheap. The software that came with the tablet is out of date. I just downloaded the the xp drivers and will see if this works.
Phoebus did your software load the Jam control panel?
I think this control panel is the key for getting the tablet to work.

I installed the file that I found here for the drivers and nothing. Windows xp does see the device but you can't do anything with the pen. Please do post if you get yours to working on another machine. Thanks

    Smile FIXED IT!!!

Well, I finally did it! Not very sure how, but I got it to work!

    Here's what I can suggest:

    1. Install the WinXP drivers with the tablet unplugged.

    2. Plugin the tablet and if nothing happens install the WinXP drivers again. Try different USB ports as well.

    3. Now install the software that came with the tablet and then install (once again) the WinXP drivers.

Let us know how it went and if you need any further help.

Good luck! Hope you make it work!

    Cheers,
    Phoebus

Just curious, the drivers you used Phoebus, were they the ones I posted links for? Or do you have another source?

They're not the ones you posted NooNoo but they're the same. I checked them against the ones you posted and they're the same!

    Jam Studio Drivers

    I am up and running.
Since I already had the software installed this is what I did:
    1.Loaded the drivers again.
    2. Re-booted the computer with the tablet attached.
    3. Start-run and installed the drivers again. Got a message about compatiblility and entered yes and it loaded the tablet control panel to the system control panel.
    Yipee!
ps: I used the drivers that i found here on the support forum.

    Thanks for all the help.
