How does this site look?

I want some opinions on this site that I am creating. It is only the first page and the menu and body really are just filler. I would like your opionion on the basic design & layout.

The menu will be used, but all the links will be different and working when complete.

The quotes at the top will change daily. The ones that will be installed will be insporational in nature when complete.

I agere, I believe the women that this site will belong to will want to add some more pictures that should give it some more colors.

Not bad. Only thing is, I'd prefer the text to reflow when I resize the window. I'd also think about making the nav bar, and text, smaller. But yeah - nice.

Only other thing is, it loads a bit slow.

The text does resize to your window due to it being in a table that is sized to the background. However, I have it set so that most folks will view the page properly.

The load time is due to the nav bar mostly. The script is quite large.

As for the font size, I had it smaller, but my client wanted it to be larger. She said that most of the people comming to the site may not be computer savy, so she wanted the navigation to stand out a bit.

nice, though the text needs to be spaced out a little instead of a big blob

is it running off a database?

or manually inserted?

if its from a database I can tell you how to fix the problem of where the database uses \n and not the br command

Oh no, that text is really just filler. I just so happen to be reading that and needed the filler, so I inserted that.

Actually, my client still needs to give me the copy & number of other pages to put into the site. I just wanted feedback on the overall design. But thanks for the offer anyway.
