need an mpeg editor
Anyone have a link to a decent mpeg editor or know of an mgep to avi converter that is freeware?
Got a TV card and I'm capturing mpeg videos but would like to edit the comercials out. I'd also like to convert them to different formats. I'd also like to do it for free...

Tmpgenc converts avi to mpg1 and 2 (30 days only on mpg2) Virtualdub will edit the avi and crop and so on, both free

That sounds like what i'm looking for. Only thing is that the link to DL is a dead end. Oh well, I'll just have to go look for it.

Nice little editor that...registration is free, but the page cannot be found... so I guess they fell off the net?

Just tried 10 of the mirrors and none of the links begin the DL. Oh well.
I'll just look for it here and there. Finding the proggie to do the job was the big part of the battle.
