They never cease to amaze me....
I get this in email today, which first off, they are not supposed to email, they are supposed to open a trouble report, anyway,....hows this for descriptive?
Subject Line: weird stuff coming into e-mail
Here's the email itself: had a couple weird messages come thru this morning.
Also had an undeliverable message - - which I didn't send that I know of
can you shed any light
Now just WHAT does that tell me in order to troubleshoot the issue??

Actually, it tells me there's a possiblity of a virus on his machine that exploits smtp or outllook. It could be nothing but it would be worth a look... One good virus can cripple an exchange server in a large org.

That would bother me. I would definetly check for viruses just to be safe.

Yeah 2 of the messages were ones stating that viruses were cleaned from the email, etc. She just didn't bother to look.
As for the undeliverable message I got one of those myself about a week ago and gave it to the guy that admins the Exchange box and he didn't seem to concerened.
What frusterates me is that people send us things like this, but don't bother to send anymore info, like the email in question.
Just gets old......

Flabooble!
Do not respond to this e-mail.
In User this has the following definition:
- Do not read any further and click the reply button.
- Make something up about an issue that happened 2 years ago that you barely remember.
- State the issue is with every PC in the office.
- Do not under any circumstances send your name, telephone #, address or any pertinant information of any sort.
- When IS/IT responds to your mail, promptly ignore it until they note that they are closing your ticket. At this time report that you are too busy working on your job to talk, but that you can not live without your PC for 1 day.
- Be sure to state that this is a very high priority and that you need immediate help before you put you voicemail on.
- Go on vacation, but before you do send another e-mail stating the same issue but do not under any circumstances note you have an earlier ticket or that someone else may be working on your issue.
- Have a co-worker call about you issue and have them state that this is a critical issue that demands protection because you have to walk down the hallway at least 3 times per week to do your job now.
