[RESOLVED] printer/HP

MY HP 612C WILL FEED PAPER WHEN I CHOOSE A PROINT ICON BUT WILL NOT PUT INK ON THE PAPER,CART. ARE NEW,PRINT HEAD IS NEW,I HAVE UNINSTALLED THE SOFTWARE AND RELOADED IT TWICE W/NO LUCK.I WELCOME ANY IDEAS.

Have you made sure there's no seal on the cartridge? Most new cartridges have a plastic cap plus an additional seal, usually a thin sliver of plastic to prevent leakage that you may overlook. check that and see...esp if it goes through the motion of printing but doesn't. I had this happen to me once the first time I bought a new replacement cartridge--the cap was obvious but I totally overlooked the seal until I realized there was no ink being dispensed.

thanks shadowomega,but the film was removed.Do you have any other solutions up your sleeve.
