    Post LPT1

    How can I change my LPT1 port back to LPT1? It is now named Epson LPT1, and I have an HP printer. I use Win98. I tried deleting it, but it came back up as Epson LPT1. Help!!!!

    You need to go into printer properties/details page, and then end capture on the printer port.

    Does Your HP printer work ok under this "Epson printer port" ?

    If you right click the printer port in device manager, find out what drivers the port is using. Then delete them in safe mode, remove the port from device manager and when you reboot windows should put the port back as a Printer port
