shutdown problem
Hi guys, I know I have seen this before but can't seem to find it when I need it! What I have is a friends new install of win2k and all seems ok with one exception. At shut down the 'puter goes to the AT style shut down with the dialog box saying you can now shut off the computer. This is on a PII 350 with 128mb ram. If you need more info I can get it but it is all I recall at this point.

What Motherboard and BIOS?
Also check the following registry key in W2K:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Look for the powerdownAfterShutdown string.

Open up device manager, show hidden devices, in the system devices look for APM...it will be disabled, enable it.
