Windows Update site
Just installed XP on a spare machine. All went fine. Went to the update site. It goes straight to 100% and then tells me there are no updates available.
Its a slot Athlon 700, on a MS6191 mobo. There are no driver updates from MSI, from the native drivers, for the chipset .
Help. Please. pretty please.

Have you activated your copy of XP? Also, have you tried resetting the Privacy and Security settings to Low? If that doesn't work you could manually download SP1 and see if that repairs the Windows Update (since it should contain updates to the Windows Update program which may be damaged)

An illegal install of XP won't give you any updates either.....

The last "tech" who ran this shop still works with this unit...as motor T. He has a "less than legit" copy of XP that he updates regularly with the update site...

Its a legit copy.
If I cant sort it within the next hour, i'll reinstall.
I just hate ringing MS though to re-licence the bloody thing.
