    Wanted: quality slotket

I have combed the internet in search of either an Iwill, Abit, or Asus slotket. All I can find is the cruddy generic brand that never seats correctly because there's no casing.

Anyone aware of a mail order outfit currently carrying a name brand sloctket?

    Thanks...

I personally have an ASUS slotket with a Celeron 466 and Power PC & Cooling hsf that I don't have any plans for (and can't see any in the near future). Maybe we can work something out.

That might work. Do you know if it supports FC-PGA? The CPU I'm planning on pairing this with is an 850MHz Coppermine.

    Unhappy

Sorry for the slow turn-around, I had to dig for some information.
The slotket I have is an Asus S370-D v1.00. According to this site: http://n.ethz.ch/student/sroland/p2b...l#rec_slotkets
it's PPGA-only, so I guess I'm no help at all. Sorry.

Here's one link to try: http://www.stevetech.com/mirror/CPUConverters.html

    Here's another: http://brimstone.fpsn.net/~cfaber/pr...239/2143-1.htm

I also found a few listings on E-Bay for the ASUS S370-DL (apparently that's the one to shoot for), if you want to try there. Hopefully I've been more helpful in information if not in hardware. Good luck.
    When all else fails.....FDISK!

No problem. I found an Abit Slotket !!! on eBay for a reasonable price and was the winning bidder.

I'm not a big fan of auction sites (as a matter of fact, that's the first time I even visited eBay), but I see now that they occasionally have their uses.

So I guess the only slotket that's actually still in production is that generic StarTech piece of dung that I kept running into over, and over, and over again. Too bad since there's still quite a few Slot 1 boards out there.
