    Hi gang how about an Arctic picture?

    Some of youz guys have seen this one, but I thought I would post for those who have not seen it. Picture was taken New Years Eve shortly before 2:30 PM by a co-worker. The place 120 mile North of the Arctic Circle 50 miles east of the NW Arctic Sea Coast (Chukchi Sea). I wish all of you a belated Happy New Year!

    Is that the real color of the landscape or is that just how the camera interpereted it?

    Hmmm...I was stuck in my office doing paperwork when the picture was taken. Based on observations I think it's somewhat how the camera imaged it. Although I will say that several people remarked how colorful the sunsets were on the 31st and Jan 1st. I didn't get a chance to see either (I was stuck in my office on the 1st too).

    Digital cameras interpolate colors and are often a little off. Personally I like the effect that has.

    That is one hella nice pic.

    I too copy and pasted as my background... have many pics of sunsets and sunrises.. just ask me.. ill show them to ya..
