[RESOLVED] Zip drive???

Problem is this: zip drive is slave to CD ROM's master. CD ROM is fine but zip drive light constantly flashes on and off. In Win error message is 'can't access disk - retry?'
DOS says drive inaccessable. With disk ejected no light comes on at all. Have tried changing cables, reversed master/slave etc but no good. Have reinstalled software also. Boot up finds zip ok ("finding drive letter for Zip drive.......") Any ideas??

Have you tried it without the cdrom hooked up? Slaved to hdd? What kind of mobo? In My Computer is it recognized as a zip drive or floppy?

Thanks for that but I now know the drive itself is faulty. Plugged in another ZIP hey nonny nonny no problem!!
