This reminds me of a CSI episode where a guy hides a gun he used to commit a murder inside his tower. Finding a murder weapon... now that would be cool!
My most common finds are pens and phillips screwdrivers. I've found at least 2 0r 3 of each over the years.
Weirdest find ever was some guy's driver's license. For the life of me I can't envision a scenario where something like that could wind up inside a PC.

WTF, why would someone put 2 live rounds inside of their computer!!???
My worst (scariest) find to date was a system where the last tech to work on it could not locate a suitable power switch for it, so he soldered on a replacement. When he discovered that it wouldn't fit back inside the case correctly he taped the switch in the ON position with duct tape and then taped the whole mess to the power supply. As the solder joints weren't insulated and there were burn marks on the side of the PS that might explain why it just rebooted from time to time.
My most memorable find to date is a pocket edition Gideon Bible inside one PC at work. Not sure if it belonged to the user or shipped with the PC.

The wierdest thing that I have ever found was a 32 meg video card ( back in the day ) and a new nic card, I guess the owner planned on replacing the old ones and lost his nerve...I kept 'em!

Found a gold bracelet in a photocopier duplex tray! Traced it to the receptionist who said she'd taken it off so as not to scratch the drum when clearing a jam, put it in a safe spot and forgotten about it. As for PC's, dust is as exciting as I've seen!

I found some jewelry inside a ladies desktop - a necklace, a ring and some other junk. Seems the 3 year old liked stuffing things through a ventilation slot in the front of it. When I returned the system to the young mother she actually broke down and cried upon seeing the ring I returned. Seems it was a family heirloom that had been missing for several months.
My other favourite is the customer who brought in her PC because her Scrabble CD game didn't work. I flashed it up and sure enough it couldn't read the CD. I opened the CD drive, took out the CD, looked on underside and there was large squashed spider pasted to the CD.
I had to do it. When she came to pick it up I looked at her with my most serious expression and said " Ma'am there seems to be a bug in your computer." Then I showed her the disk.
We all cracked up.
What I know about computers would fill volumes - what I don't know would fill a wharehouse.

Weird find inside of computers
I once had a customer with a mouse problem. He had left some slot covers off the back of his system and when we opened the case to find out why it wouldn't boot, we found one small, frightened mouse. The critter had been pulling the tear off sides from old continious feed sheets into the case, and building a nest!

I did work for this older guy who was married to a girl that was more than 30 years younger than him. He gave me a bunch of software CD's to install, and in the back of one of the cases was a picture of his wife, naked, and another of the two of them from behind while they were doin' the nasty. I almost gave up the career after that misfortune!
