Need to ID a motherboard manufacture
Need help to find the manufactire of this board.
BIOS ID string
61-1001-001437-00111111-071595-440LX-140L000-H
The only markings on the MOBO are a " i440LX " written in white letters, vertical to the ISA slots on the case side edge.
Thank-you in advance!

Your first Search should always be with
http://www.google.com/
Enter "i440LX motherboard" ...without the quotation marks and you get lots of answers.
I found this one:
http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=907
Says it's an Diamond Micronics C300 i440LX.
EDIT: You might also check out CTBIOS Utility

Powerleap has a neat little Active X MB/CPU ID utility right on their homepage:
http://www.powerleap.com/consumer/upgradefinder.htm
It works well. Just about everything you ever wanted to know about your motherboard or CPU but were afraid to ask!

Re: Need to ID a motherboard manufacture
It is really PCChips motherboard (or one of their numerous clones)... may be M701 or M710 model - check it out...
I would recommend also Hardware Info utility from www.hwinfo.com - working excellent...
This page also can be very useful for you:

and this one:

Good luck!

If it is indeed that PCChips board, then the place to look will be www.pcchips.com
Be patient. Sometimes I think that site is hosted on 56k. Also, don't think you'll be able to run any recent chips on it. I believe the LX only supported a 66mhz bus speed, so the fastest Pent you can run is a PII-333. The Celerons stayed at 66 bus for a while, so you may be able to run a quicker one, depending on how high of a multiplier that board will do.

According to Pc chips FTP site... there is no bios for the 710... but they recently had a good clear out so it might be floating around the net somewhere. The problem with that being that the rom file is possibly not trustworthy....
Unless Ruslan has a source
What did you want to achieve with this bios upgrade?
