    Hi,
    A mate of mine just bought a 486dx pc,and
it has a tape drive in the 5 1/4 bay,but we
can't get it to work, after opening the box
we discovered that it is attached to a scsi
controllor, would any body know of a way to
get Win95 to see this drive?? the ID N0 on
the scsi controllor is FCC GTAPC02
    Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

    Regards

According to the FCC ID, this drive and controller are made by Wangtek. Their webpage is not very helpful as far as driver downloads, but you could possibly email them for more help.

Wangtek says the drive is QIC-80
    There is NO SCSI support
You need to get Seagate's Backup Exec, or compatable software, with more drivers than Windows 95 for this drive

    Hi,
Thanks to both of you for your replies>Sorry
it took so long to answer, but I could't remember
my password :-( Anyway we discovered a programme
on the hard drive called "Sytos Plus" Ver 1.10
we got it to back up the hard drive, but it only
backs up some dirs, ie: there is about 260mb
on the drive, but it only backs up about 64mb.
We have read the online help, over and over
again, but we still can't get it to back up
all the drive.even though we tagged all the dirs
and files. have any of you blokes ever heard
of this programme??? I have done a search on the
web,but to no avail.BTW there are quite a few
drivers, but the only one that worksis one called
1550(at)drv,when we tried the one called
    1550(scsi).drv it would't work.Any ideas.
    Thanlks again for your help.
    regards
    Arthur
