Sony Vaio f430
I just installed XP on my laptop and so far everything is going great. But I just realized that XP reports my processer as a 466 MHz. The laptop has an 800 MHz processer. It seems like a waste to have the computer running at half the speed. Does anyone know how I can solve this? Thanks in advance.

Setting the Power Management to "Always On" will get the the correct reading normally, but be advised that speed stepping is disabled as well and the laptop will run hotter and the battery life will suffer.

OK, I found out what the problem is. I'm just an idiot. The speed of my laptop IS 466. I bought two computer at the same time and I gave my brother the faster on by acident. I thought I had kept the 800. But thanks for the help. I will keep it in mind in case I see this in the future.
