Version .92 - .90 Modem Drivers
Here is my dilemma:
I installed a new modem about three months ago, and just let XP install the generic drivers, v.90. Soon after I decided to install the drivers that came with the modem, v.92 drivers. Turns out that my ISP cannot handle v.92 yet, so I had to drop the line speed down using the command AT+MS=V34,0 . That worked out fine until I noticed the phone line was not getting disconnected occasionally. It almost seemed like the modem was not giving out a disconnect command.
Now, what I think I have to do is re-install the generic XP drivers.
How would I go about removing the old v.92's, and reinstalling the v.90's?
Is there another way around my problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks to anyone who replies in advance.

Usually winxp will make a backup of older drivers before the updating to new ones. There should be a restore point for the old drivers if you go into the device manager and look up the modem driver properties. I forget where since I haven't touched xp in a while.

Roll back the driver in the properties for the modem in device manager.
