zip drive woah's

i recently put my zip disk that i use for backup into a customers machine to test her zip drive..... i am running XP pro, well i formatted the disk in her machine (WIN98) and now when i try to access that disk. my computer will stop responding. i didnt have the iomega software installed since xp added the drive for me and that is all the functionality i really need out of it..... i installed there latest software and still no luck..... do you thing my disk is just fubared. or what.

i will be getting a new disk on wed.
