Wormage
There be worms. Port 1434 and a SQL vulnerability. Too early for real news but today should be fun for many admins.

Hmm....my website and forum went down for a while and so did Cobra's. Thank God though they are back up now and although Telstra DNS seems to have been hit, everything else seems OK....(At the Moment)
Edit... I just received this email from my hosts...Not good, Not good at all.
This is a mass email sent to all paid hosting customers of 2globalmart.com. If you have more than one hosting accounts with us, you may receive multiple copies of it. The original messages are listed in the News Announcements of our forum at http://www.2globalmart.com/forums.html .

There has been a serious network problem with the whole building of our datacenter, the whole street, and the whole Savvis Communication, Cogent, and other data providers since 9:00 PM, PST, last night. There are several datacenters, including the largest one – Interland, in the same building, and all of them, though use different data providers, have experienced the same problem.
All hosting companies on the network, including us, have been affected. The servers themselves have been working normally, but internet connection to them was either extremely slow or not available at all. Right now at 3:00 AM, PST, Saturday Morning, Unix servers have been back to normal, but Windows servers are still down.
According to our datacenter guys, this is a nationwide issue and caused by hacker activities of spreading virus in the network, and Windows servers with MSSQL server are target. We were in the datacenter a few hours last night, and saw all datacenter guys working in the building and trying to solve the problem. They turned off all Windows boxes with MSSQL server installed.
This is a really bad situation which is totally out of our control. We even couldn’t send email to you last night. We’ll let you know when the problem is solved.
