    Windows Media Player problem.

    Hi

    Everytime i try and load a file in WMP i always get this error

    ''An object or name was not found''

    I know it's not the file as it happens to every one i have, does anyone know the problem?

    I recently downloaded the new codecs.

    What type of files?

    Mp3? Mpeg movies, avi?

    Does a cd inthe cd rom play in wmp?

    All files, mp3/Avi/Mpeg etc, just get the same error.

    You downloaded the new codecs from windows updates for wmp 9?

    Did you download wmp9 as well?

    I got those codecs yeah, but not the new WMP as i was told not to download it as it is faulty...But hting is, i got those codecs and have watched stuff SINCE then, it only started happening yesterday.

    This sounds like the program is missing a library. Try uninstalling
    and then re-installing.
