SB128PCI and configmg.vxd error in dev mgr
A little frustrated here
Having a problem with an odd duck. Have a Win98 Gold system that I'm trying to install a CT4700 Sound card into.
1. First problem was it was reporting problem with midi wavesets. Got around that one from the creative knowledgebase.
2. now getting an error - on the SB128 Legacy device - that configmg.vxd could not load the driver (error 2). Have the latest driver (e128up9x.exe) from the creative site (courtesy of the windrivers link).
Any ideas? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Configmg sets the card up for use in DOS if you don't use DOS games or DOS apps that require a sound card Edit autoexec.bat and Remark or delete the sound card Device settings DMA and IRQ and let windows handle the settings. Sounds like the standard DOS settings were not setup correctly when the drivers were installed.
