Deny Web Surfing Thru Router Force Proxy

Anyone out there know what ports I need to block on a Linksys router in order to force use of the existing proxy.

I'm too lazy to go Policy Editing crazy on a mixed bag of 98 and XP machines right now, and a collegue of mine sent me something on what ports to block to disallow surfing, yet still allow it to be a default gateway for email.

However, I don't have the info available to me right now.

Why shut down ports on the router? Make the proxy server multihomed, (two NIC's) and have all Internet traffic forced to use it as the gateway...

Can you be slightly more specific?

As I read this : You have an old proxy server, and a new one.

You want people to use the new proxy server. This is good.

Now, what are you using for proxy duties? Why not just set the old proxy up to forward any outgoing traffic to the new box, while you work out the issues on the client end, then turn the old proxy off in a month or so ?

Easy...

Set private IP range to be ALL COMPUTER IPs, EXCLUDING the proxy server.

Now the ONLY computer who can go to the internet is the proxy server. so all clients HAVE to use it.
