Live!Ware 3.0 and Win98SE = Crash?
This one's been driving me bonkers. I'm running Win98SE w/ DirectX 8.0a If I just install the drivers for my Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer, I'm fine. If I install the Live!Ware then I'm good until I need to reboot. When I try booting back up every time I get a BSOD. A fatal exception OE something or other, I'm at work now and don't have the error msg with me. The card was installed during a complete wipe/reinstall of my system. This computer is a PII400 w/ 256MB of RAM on using the Intel 440BX chipset. There are no conflicts showing in Device Manager.
Any thoughts?

When you programmed your computer did you install the most recent chipset drivers for your motherboard? Also try to set your SB LIVEs IRQ to 5.

if you are running a coppermine CPU, then get the newest liveware from soundblaster.com

The computer defaulted to installing the at least some of the SB Live's functions under IRQ5.
This machine uses a PII-400 and I was using the latest copy of Live!Ware from www.soundblaster.com

You may want to disable all of Creative's Start-up crap using msconfig.

Try reserving IRQ5 in the BIOS specifically for the slot that your SB Live! is in.
