I'm still waiting for my Palm Pilot Professional to bite the big one before I can justify the purchase of a Clie or Axim.

I'm not much into PDA's... I'm not that organized. I play around with a IIIc once in a while but only because my company gave me one. I was using a VIIx they had given me a while back but Monopoly looks much better in color

Still using my Palm m100 every day.
If you're truly interested in the e740, don't forget to look into the "upgraded" version. The original batch was recalled because of a power/battery issue (lose all your data if power is completely drained out).
A former co-worker loved his. He's a telecom freak (likes to radio his buddies on the space station and has an antennae in his back yard - along with a Lotus Esprit Turbo...) and appreciated all the bells and whistles that made it possible to communicate wirelessly with his other devices.

i would wait on the e740
I have heard that Toshiba is releasing a e750 with an upgraded FSB and a bit more stable as well as much faster than the e740
I currently have the e740 and am verry happy with it, i currently on have had a bad battery. I got a great deal on it, otherwise i would have waited for the e750, but i only had 3 days to choose if i wanted to get the e740 for half price so i went with it

I love my EM500 but it's an old model. If you're buying a PDA now, go for the new ViewSonic model, or the Dell Axim at www.dell.com is also a great model.
Pocket PC rocks

I"m using the Dell Axim X5, 300 Mhz one. I love it. It's the first PDA that I've owned and definately worth the price. I'm still waiting on the $50 rebate so after that rebate, the cost is $200. Just fyi, I bought it at Comdex.
