    Question Win NT 4.0 configure video resolutions


    Hi everybody!
    How's life to the america ? 'cos i'm from russia!

    so, I have Windows Nt 4.0 workstation.
    videocard is into motherboard (INTEL) and when my system Win Nt install , she now have only 16 color and other bad things....

    So, now i need the good video driver for that computer, but there is so many sites in the Internet and i've so little free time for searching driver, so, maybe somebody can help me to find correct driver ?

    If it is an onboard video, we would need to know the make and model of the motherboard - or if it's definitely an intel, the chipset.

    NT4 video settings can be stubborn to configure if you don't have specific drivers for it.

    Like Noonoo said, we'll need to have the specific brand and/or name of your motherboard. If you also have the brand and model for the graphics card, that would be great.

    There are software utilities which can tell you exactly what parts your system is made up of. Is that what you're referring to?

    Also, I'm guessing you don't know what the video card chipset is on the motherboard, correct?

    OK there are a number of utilities available - www.hwinfo.com - get the dos version, or if the machine is online, go to www.belarc.com and download the free personal audit.

    Tell us what it says about your mainboard from belarc.

    Also another way is to boot the machine and hit the pause/break key while it is counting ram. On the screen will be a very long number - often it starts with a backwards date. Post that number here and we can look up which motherboard you have.

    It is one of two matrox cards, you will have to work out which it is.
