[RESOLVED] Card identity.
My PC has been made for me by a friend. He has been very vague about the hardware installed.
I have obtained the following information from my sound card by taking my PC apart and removing the card:
YAMAHA OPL
YMF711-S
9633 WACJ
JAPAN
ADDONICS
CE FCC
ID: LWHA151910
I could not find an obvious match within the sound card identification page.
Can you shed any light please by identifying the card and informing me which drivers should be used.
Thankyou

Addonics is the Mfg
Yamaha is the Chipset
Win95/98 may read the chip and give a default install which should work.
Some Network Cards wil install via chipset as opposed to mfg.
Hope this helps

Sorry for being a complete dunce here but what does Mfg stand for? I could not find Addonics within the list of sound card manufacturers! Puzzled.
My PC was already configured but I was given a Sound Blaster Cd. I was told this would do if required.
