Mixing DDR Memory...
I have a system that uses a VIA KT400 chipset. The board is made by MSI.
I have an Athlon XP2000+ in it with 256MB of DDR333 memory. I however now have 2 more 256MB DDR266 DIMMS laying around. All are CL2.5.
Would I be able to mix these and the system would just scale down the DDR333 to act like the DDR266 like PC100 does with PC133?

It depends on the motherboard. Some will tolerate it, some will not. Unfortunately the only way to find out is to try and see.

Worked fine in my board (MSI-KT4V)
In fact, scores better on benchmarks as to Memory bandwidth like this
1 DDR333 256MB 2.5 @DDR266
2 DDR266 256MB each 2.5
compared to just the one DDR333 running at DDR333. Odd.
Either case, it works so I now have plenty of RAM to hold me over until I buy an Athlon 64 setup.
