[RESOLVED] AWE 64 choppy after install Win98 SE
I had win 98 on my system and everthing was working great..Decided to upgrade to SE and now My creative labs AWE 64 produces choppy or no sound at all.

Did windows detect your sound correctly and install a driver for it?
what type of sound files are you playing that do not work? wav, mid, mp3, cd audio?
Try them all and see if the behavior is the same for all, or only one specific type.
Do you have enough free disk drive space? how often do you defrag? if you don't have enough contiguous disk space for the file, then the computer will have problems playing it.

download the latest update for the AWE64 drivers from http://www.soundblaster.com , this should solve the problem.
Also ensure that the resources for the sound card are not being shared with anything else.
