We got about $1200 back this year so the first thing I did was go buy my watercooling rig (See this thread ). I don't really know what happened but we spent $700 of it the first day Oh well, we had fun though. The rest of it went to paying off my car (We only had $700 left on it so we dropped 'em a check) so the only thing we have out on credit is our house w00t!

I got mine in february...$3500. Spent in a week. I bought a new comp(Athlon XP 2000, 512MB DDR333, 80GB WD w/8MB cache, GF4 MX onboard) and went to the casino with $400...came home with almost $2000...that magically disappeared too.

Looks to me like you need to change what you declare on your W-4. You have way too much being withheld! Do you really want the IRS earning interest off of your money? That is roughly $290 per month post tax!

I was claiming married/1 on my w-4...went to married/2 this year, and will still probably get the same or even more. Military members who are the only ones bringing in the dough tend to get pretty big returns.
Wages, tips, other compensation
$ 18009.34
Federal income tax withheld
$ 1220.87
That is straight from my 2002 W-2...and doesnt include tho $650 I got back from South Carolina.
