    Quantum Fireball Plus KX

    I am having trouble locating this particular drive....Anyone know wher I can pick one up? I need this exact drive to recover data off a bad drive. It seems to have a bad board.

    Try searching on Pricegrabber, NexTag or BizRate in the hardrives section. You might have to scroll through many pages but its likely that somebody still sells it. Just out of curiosity, is your current drive in a RAID 0 configuration? If so, you'll need that new drive to rebuild the array but won't be able to recover the data.

    Thanks for your reply. No this is not a raid array I am working on, just a single drive for my brother who has learned the hard way about back-up. Saddest thing is he has a CDRW on his PC! I am looking for this drive to replace the electronics on an identical drive.
