    Internet Explorer Browsing Problem

I have a customer just called me. He has installed a couple of BT Speedtouch Wireless 120's. One on an XP machine and one on an ME machine. He could not get the two machine to link together so has de-installed the device from each machine and has unplugged them both.

The problem he has now is neither machine can browse the web or collect email through IE6 and Outlook Express.

Both machines are linked through an ADSL line which connects perfectly.

I have browsed through various postings and have found a couple of ideas.

The first is to run the Internet Connection Setup program again on both machines and the second is to run the New.net uninstall procedure.

Can anyone come up with other possible ideas as I would rather turn up to the client tomorrow with ammo and not try 20 things that never work.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Exclamation

The obvious checklist - check IP Settings (IP, Subnet, Gateway, DNS).
Later on - Ping all the way (Between machines and External).

    Comeback with an Answer,
    Gabriel

Thanks Gabriel. I won't be seeing the customer for a couple of days now but I will come back with positive feedback.

    Hopefully!!!!
