Best April Fool's joke ever

Okay, little background, there is a guy that sits in the row next to me that has one more round to go (he's in the semi finals right now) before he is chosen to be on the next survivor. This is virtually all this guy can talk about presently. So, I wrote his letter of acceptance This was perfect to the T and the envelope you see (first picture) actually had a registered mail sticker and a postage sticker on it before we gave it to him. This is pretty much how it went. (I could only hear at first because I couldn't physically see him)

(letter is delivered by our mail room)

Him: Hey come back here! Did you see who this was from?
pauses
Him: Oh My God!!! I got on survivor!!!
comes running over by me and the rest of the people on our mezzanine
Him: Holy Sh*t! I got on Survivor!
(Crowd): Oh my god! Congratulations!
Him: Hey *** (guy next to him) Read this, I'm shaking too much!
Me: Way to go!
pauses
Me: What date was it sent on?
***: Yesterday, April 1st
Me: Man, I hope that wasn't an April Fool's Joke
Him: No it can't be, it was sent registered mail (mind you we ship over 2 million dollars in merchandise a day. $4 on a registered letter was well worth it)
Me: Oh, well that clearly shows it wasn't
Him: God! I've got to go tell <boss>
Me: (Just wanting to save him the embarassment) April Fool's!
Him: Yea, right! You can't get me with that one
(runs off to boss)(makes a complete *** of self)(comes back with boss all excited)
Me: No really dude, April Fool's
Boss: Hahahahaha they got you good
Him: Are you serious? Why didn't you tell me
Me: I did
Him: Oh my god! F**k you guys
Boss: Hahahahahahaha

This was the best one yet. And he's made me notorious considering he went off and started telling everyone. I literally had over 300 visits within the next hour and a half from people around my company telling me how great it was.

Yea, I already told him he's gonna have to hang mine on the wall next to the real one when he gets it. But I'll bet he's upset since there's won't look as nice

Yeah, but he wouldn't have gone around telling everyone in the world that he didn't make it. This would have made the laughter much smaller, as only a few people would have known about it...

Good analysis...I probably would have done something similar, but I would have sent two...One to him, but with his name cleverly misspelled, then another one the next day or work with the mail guy to have him bring it up late...the first says he made it, then the second says "oh, sorry, wrong address. you didn't make it."
