This weekend just gone... I screwed up royally (note to self: don't copy the user profile into the C:\Documents and Settings root when you really meant to copy them to a server share - the joy of playing around with a PC at 4am when the cats get you up)
I convinced myself it needed doing though, it had been about 6 months since the last trashing so I didn't feel too bad about it.

Not sure if I am weird, ( Okay, but everyone else is sure! ) but I reload my operating system on all my machines once a month just to keep in practice, even my work station. Ghost would just be cheating...

Last time I reloaded was 5 months ago when I got my new machine. Now I keep a backup (2nd) hard drive just in case.
It certainly make things alot easier, now rather than reload the entire program I just copy and paste!

It's funny you should mention that. I used to do that back when I actually knew what I was doing. Then, ever since installing Windows XP, I never have a need to. So now it's been so long that I've done anything to a PC (years), I pretty much forgot everything. That goes for hardware and software. I do still remember how to check my email and browse the web, but that's about it. And I still remember how to post at Windrivers too.

about 3-4 weeks ago, needed to sue to a motherboard/cpu/ram upgrade. Almost a year before that one though. It's not something i enjoy doing, to many little apps need to get installed.

Flabooble!
I've been going bonkers lately reconfiguring my hardware. Just been loading 2000 over and over as HDD's move from machine to machine. I should have the perfect configurations soon (all the best poop goes in one machine).

Using Win98SE, haven't reloaded in about two and a half years. But I mostly use my system for playing games and downloading music, so I don't really do anything to it to mess it up.
