Any issues yet : Audigy with Via motherboard
Can someone tell me if there is any issues from the mix Via KT133a motherboard & audigy .
From my previous setup i had a SB live, and i got some crackling during recording session. However the rig was ok for gaming and other task (and stable).
I really hope Creative have done a good job this time, I'm sick of SB128 pci!!!!!!!!!!

I heard that there was still an issue with the 686B south bridge. But I have not heard of any real world issues like what was going on with the ABIT boards and the SB Live. Check out the reviews as www.anandtech.com and both the review and press review at www.3dsound.com

I've installed 5 audigy's in different boxes as upgrades and in new installs in Via and Intel chipset boards without a hitch, come to think of it, I never had a problem with the Live cards either. If there is a problem with them, it must be certain configurations causing trouble.

Ok Folks I just bought an Audigy today and it's running fine.
I tried the FortissimoII yesterday and was very disapointed with the results : The sound was bad , cheap bass and metalic high.
(no effect , just music)
I wonder how that card earn so many good reviews. However I'm pretty sure that there is no issues from the Fortissimo/Via mix.
The sound from the Audigy is well defined and clean (straight sound). In games the sound with effects are impressive.
I'll see in few days if there is some problems with the line in for recording ( I had crack and pops with the Live)
My system:
Aopen AK73pro(a)
T-Bird 1G @ 1,33G (10x133, 1.7volts)
256megs PC133 infineon
