Try steves-digcams.com they have a forum there that you can ask this question. I had good luck with my Camera problems at this site.

I wish i had known sony was going to bring the 717 out just a few months after the 707, i envy you.

I can't stand pixella. I use photoshop for almost everything but there are quite a few free image editors out there depending upon what you want to do.

Photo shop is the best thing going but it it's tough to use if you are unfamiliar with it though after some time it can become a lot of fun. Another negative is a huge pricetag, like $500 or more.

There is a watered down version of it called photoshop elements www.adobe.com and it lets you do most everything you want. I do recomend that though there is a bit of a learning curve with it as well, it's worth it.

I have also found ifranview http://www.irfanview.com to be very useful. It does a lot of simple things very well and it's free and easy to use and a quick download as well.

Not a problem. I love my Olympus 550. I take many shot at concerts that I go to. Then I can download them and send them to the artist. I helps that I sit about 4-6 feet from the artist as they plays.
