    ati multimoniter....

so i'm playing around right now and i was wondering, i have to monitors (a 16" crt, and 27" tvv is primary so i can watch tv, movies and whatnot on it)....this all werks wonderfully, but (there is always a but is'nt there)...I want to have 2 different backgrounds... so i actually on one side be 'bliss' the other sandstorm konw what i mean...i konw i can custom make a bmp, but htat seems extreme...

is what i am wanting todo possible...is there 'tweak' utility that i can use, or am i being lazy and just make my own bmps....

i did google, and all am still sifting thru the hits, but so far nothing usefiull....

oh yeah hydravision, and multidesk are loaded...
    i love peta...and sars...
    and bin laden....and n. korea....and china...and p2p...spyware...

I THINK you should be able to do this through Hydravision. I have not had a chance to play with it that much cause the graphics chip on my Stinkpad is to old so Im not positive... but I do remember seeing a setting to save multiple desktops?

after much digging i came up with this: it's a feature of windows not to have multiple backgrounds.

there is a work around, use the background as a webpage, create html file, point html file to a bmp that is the size fo the extended desktop...I did'nt get it to work, but that's how it's supposed to be done...

    here is the link

i searched for a while trying to do this also. i eventually just made a new image that is twice as wide as my normal one and inserted 2 different pics. it was a pain, but better than having the same one on both. (you have to set it as "Tiled")

in fact with some ati cards you have to do this anyway, or you desktop picture will appear stretched betweent the two. i couldnt get the html thingy to work either but the simple photoshop trick seems to be working fine. the only time it gets interesting is when i want different resolutions on each monitor...
