[RESOLVED] Sound Card Upgrade
Apologies up front - this is a hardware query, rather than a driver problem...
I'm interested in upgrading my sound card to a Creative Soundblaster Live!Player 1024.
I currently use an OPTi card, but have been disappointed with the 'thin' quality of Midi rendering of voices compared with an AZTECH Waverider 32+ card that I had on my previous PC.
Is the difference due to a built-in wavetable, and if so, would the new card (with a built-in wavetable) improve the quality of audio CDs and Wav. files?
Someone out there must be an expert . . .
