    Mouse ONLY works in safe mode

    Compaq, PIII 500 128 ram. Mouse only works in safe mode. It will NOT work on a normal boot. I have reloaded 98SE and no help. Any suggestions?

    What type of mouse is it? Comport, ps2, usb?

    In safe mode, go to device manager, how many mouse drivers are loaded?

    Do you have a dos mouse driver loading in Autoexec.bat or config.sys?

    hmm...just go into safe mode, delete the mouse driver, and then run the detect new hardware program. Windows should detect and reinstall
